Asp is a nice and attractive fish, with slightly arched back and a well developed tail fin which makes it an excellent swimmer. It grows very fast and swallows the food it catches considering it does not have teeth, but a rugged pharynx which helps it hold the prey. Asps hunt in schools using a sudden attack tactic which causes smaller fish to jump to the water surface in an attempt to escape.
